The C2FPA has received DGAC accreditation for 5 years, starting 7 August 2008, under the reference: DGAC.PPA-01/2008 for training courses relating to Wildlife Hazard Mitigation, in compliance with the Order of 10 April 2007.
In order to fully meet Wildlife Hazard Mitigation training requirements, the C2FPA provides a training course that fully meets regulatory requirements.
The 21-hour “Initial Training Course”, required to obtain certification to take on this mission, is carried out at a 3-hectare training area fully equipped for Wildlife Hazard Mitigation. It includes a course covering the various bird scaring techniques, whether acoustic, pyrotechnic or optical. With a wide range of plants and trees on display, trainees are made aware of the risks related to wildlife and their habitats and food. A shooting range will enable trainees to perfect their harvesting-related interventions. This Training Course will run from May 2009 onwards.
Since the end of November 2008, the C2FPA has been providing the Hunting Licence Training Course. Carried out over 5 days and including an examination, this is a compulsory course involving the use of hunting rifles for harvesting initiatives. The course is provided by C2FPA in association with the Indre Hunting Federation and with the French Hunting and Wildlife Organisation.
Within the framework of continuing training, “Skills Refreshment and Improvement Courses” are compulsory, every three years, if staff are to remain qualified for this mission. These courses are carried out directly at your airport.
